O Driscoll Heritage Exhibition

The O Driscoll owned Cape Clear Island Ferry brought the Clan on the annual day  trip to Cape Clear island. Being associated with the O Driscoll Clan Gathering since 1986 Cape Clear Island Museum celebrated the Clan’s 25th Anniversary by mounting the O Driscoll Heritage Exhibition at the island Museum. Arising from the publication in 2005 of O Driscolls, Past and Present by Éamon Lankford a large volume of Driscoll related documentation came to be donated by members of the international extended O Driscoll family. Submissions for inclusion in the Exhibition came from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Ireland, France, New Zealand and Germany. Documentation relating to former Clan Gatherings, O Driscoll authors, poets, broadcasters, religious, sports personalities and many others were sourced. These provided a wealth of information for the Anniversary Exhibition. The high point of the exhibition was the unveiling by Bernadette O Driscoll of Baltimore of the Ó Drisceoil plaque, celebrating O Driscoll Worldwide Heritage. The donation of O Driscoll related memorabilia and documentation is invited for future Driscoll Heritage Exhibitions.
